A new lesser evil? 

I believe in the spirit of publication bans (and since such things are manifestly impossible to pull off in 2005, I humbly suggest that Justice Gomery should have closed his courtroom to observers during the testimony in question), so for whatever it's worth, I'm not going to post a link to it here. But I'll say this: if Jean Brault's testimony was as currently advertised (and if it's true, of course), it seems not at all hyperbolic to suggest that this might bring down the Liberals. Certainly it should bring them down, and I'm sure as hell not voting for them until there's evidence that the gangrenous appendages have been amputated. This is sickening, criminal stuff, and if it's true, then my next vote in a federal election shall be cast with the sole intent of preventing the Liberal from regaining his seat. In that light, I'd greatly appreciate it if the NDP would run someone other than Olivia Chow. Shudder.
