| The location | The Glen Park neighbourhood is in a state of wretched disrepair, but students from Indiana University Northwest are trying to clean it up, presumably so that they might safely get wasted in its taverns. All north-south streets in the area are named after American states in which residents would rather live. |
| The catch | Vermont Street, just four blocks away and quite different from the state of Vermont, was the scene of a grisly double homicide in the spring of 2002, in which a young man and woman were gunned down in their Oldsmobile. On the bright side, several of Gary's 75-or-so murders per year do not happen within two minutes' walk. |
