In Toronto, road forks you!

Ten Toronto city councillors voted today in favour of an 11pm curfew for children 16 and under. Why? Because a bunch of people older than 16 have been running around shooting other people older than 16. What a country. How do these people even find their way to City Hall in the morning?

Since the Liberals wouldn't lower the age of consent, they figure this is the next-best thing?

They also voted for a soccer stadium that is almost guaranteed to lose the city money and, simultaneously, act as corporate welfare for MLSE. All in all, I would say our city's elected officials had an extraordinarily bad day.

You are way out of line on this one. If the curfew has the potential to prevent even just one of our children from someday encountering a dangerous situation then it is obviously good policy.

"Since the Liberals wouldn't lower the age of consent..."

We have the Conservatives (Mulroney) to thank for this abomination in the first place.

"You are way out of line on this one. If the curfew has the potential to prevent even just one of our children from someday encountering a dangerous situation then it is obviously good policy."

I'm sure the Taliban's policy of not allowing women to leave their homes unless escorted by a male relative prevented quite a few rapes and murders, right? Perhaps we need something similar here in Canada. After all, if it saves just one woman or female child from a dangerous situation...

*cough*
