Game 6

Two minutes in, an insane interference call on Staios. 'Twas a fine game we had once.

UPDATE. The final analysis: a thrilling and very convincing performance by the Oilers despite incompetent refereeing of historic proportions. At least four or five calls were indefensibly incorrect, and that's with the consensus best ref in the game sharing the reins. I have a small knot in my stomach just wondering what absurdity might ruin Game 7, but my hunch is it won't make a difference. Carolina has of late, but wherefore it knows not, lost all its mirth. And indeed it goes so heavily with its disposition that this goodly frame, the earth, seems to it a sterile promontory. I suspect (and dearly hope) that all the time-outs in the world aren't going to get the Hurricanes' mojo back.
