It's still about the music

I'm outta here until Monday, off to resurrect a tradition I'll tell my grandkids about in the unlikely event I ever have any: seeing Sloan at the Kee to Bala. There are still tickets left — I know because I bought one tonight — so if you have the means, I cannot reccomend highly enough that you make the trip (with a 115% sober driver — the OPP have been going nuts at these things of late). This is (arguably) one of Canada's greatest ever bands in (unarguably) one of Canada's most historically significant venues. Plus there's young, skantily clad rich girls as far as the eye can see! I guarantee to come back in a better mood, for whatever that's worth. Happy Civic Holiday, fellow Ontarians!

The new, bizarrely infectious Sloan single is a Jay Ferguson joint: "Who Taught You to Live Like That?"

I saw The Kingston Trio there in '64--nope, you're right it was '65.
