What not to eat

"To bring in legislation to allow the sale and distribution of raw milk would be tantamount to manslaughter and taking Ontario back to the Dark Ages."

That's one of my quotes of the year thus far, courtesy of the Globe and Mail and one Dr. Murray McQuigge.

Over at Macleans.ca, I have attempted to explain, or at least recap for your amusement, Ontarians' (and Canadians' in general) remarkably adversarial relationship with food.

(It has recently been suggested to me that I'm "difficult to find" on the Maclean's website. I still think this shows remarkable lack of resourcefulness on the part of certain other bloggers, but I'm adding a link on the right to National Affairs, which is where I'm contributing. (UPDATE Dec 12: Link fixed. Sorry.))

The link doesn't work. You're still difficult to find.

What I lack in resourcefulness, I make up for with my dazzlingly good looks.

Oh, there you are!

Here's how I previously tried to find your section:

Started on the Inkless Wells (bookmarked).

Scanned down the left side of page for "National Affairs" - no such link.

Clicked on the News & Politics link, looked for National Affairs there - nope.

Clicked on the Opinion link, looked for National Affairs there - no.

Searched for Chris Selley in the search box on left - lotsa hits! - clicked on the first hit that mentions National Affairs in the headline. And, at the top of that article is a big National Affairs banner! So I clicked on that banner... and nothing happened... 'cuz it's not a link.

You know what would be great? An RSS feed for your Macleans stuff, or at least for the National Affairs section.

I dunno. That 'National Affairs' stuff looks kinda serious. Is it any good? I prefer the sneers. Less emotional investment.
